Setups

Undoubtedly, there is no more important thing you can do than to have your instrument setup properly.  During the setup process, I make painstaking efforts to ensure your instrument plays to its maximum potential.

A standard setup is recommended for instruments that are correctly manufactured and have been properly maintained or newly purchased instruments that need to be "dialed-in" to accommodate your playing style.

  • Additional Setup Fees:

    • Instruments with additional strings (ex. 7 string guitar, 5 or 6 six basses) require an additional $10.00 fee per added string.

    • Add $40.00 for 12-string acoustic guitars.

    • Additional charges may apply to instruments with stainless steel frets are they are very hard on my tools.

+: Not applicable to acoustic-only instruments

*: May apply to acoustic/electric instruments

**: Adjustments to acoustic action cannot be easily reversed without additional work whose price is not included in a setup.  This may require shimming or complete replacement of the bridge saddle.

***Note: You will be asked to provide a new set of strings of your preferred gauge and leave them uninstalled.  If your instrument has old strings on it please leave them and do not remove them. ***
