Making the decision to restore your instrument is no small matter.  As the conditions of instruments can vary widely an estimate will need to be developed based on this so your instrument will need to be brought in for an assessment. 

 

I offer two types of restorations options:

• Full Restoration

​

As the name implies this ​type of restoration's main goal is to place the instrument in "New" or "Like New" condition.  It is not intended for customization though some latitude is allowable and is recommended for "Player Grade" instruments whose value will not be impacted by such a restoration.

• Sympathetic Restoration

​

As the name implies this type of restoration's main goals is to preserve the instrument's aesthetics and keep it  "As Is" by selectively addressing issues that negatively impact the instrument's playability.  Where an aesthetic issue is being addressed efforts would be made to match the existing works so as not to detract from the instruments "look & feel".   This type of restoration is recommended for "Vintage" instruments whose value needs to be preserved and maintained.
